On 23 October 2006, the Swiss Infrastructure and Exchange, abbr. SIX (the new entity comprised of the former SWX Group, SIS Group and Telekurs Group) and Deutsche Börse AG signed an agreement to found a joint venture for structured products. 

In January 2007, the jointly owned exchange began operations under the "Börse Frankfurt Smart Trading" brand in Germany and the "SWX Quotematch" brand in Switzerland. 

The parent companies had already demonstrated that they can develop successful cooperative ventures. The new exchange will strengthen the existing successful partnership between the Swiss Infrastructure and Exchange, abbr. SIX (the new entity comprised of the former SWX Group, SIS Group and Telekurs Group) and Deutsche Börse AG in connection with Eurex, the world's biggest futures exchange, and STOXX, the pan-European index provider.
